Church Bay
Church Bay (Porth Swtan) is a beautiful, unspoilt sand and pebble beach on the west coast of Anglesey.
A steep footpath from the village leads down to a beautiful bay made up of rocks, pebbles and sand. It is edged by rock pools and backed by steep cliffs along which the Isle of Anglesey coastal path runs.
The beach offers excellent water quality and is popular for swimming, sailing and fishing.

Trearddur Bay
Trearddur Bay Beach is one of the premier Blue Flag beaches located on Holy Island on the western coast of Anglesey, Wales. Known historically as Tywyn y Capel, it is a sweeping, sheltered horseshoe-shaped bay featuring an expanse of fine, soft sand flanked by low, rocky headlands. The gently sloping sandy bottom is ideal for children and less confident swimmers.
It is a highly popular destination for families, outdoor enthusiasts, and dog walkers alike.
Rhosneigr
Rhosneigr Beach is a renowned coastal destination located on the western shore of the Isle of Anglesey, Wales. A regular winner of the Green Coast Award, Rhosneigr is famous for its vibrant surf culture, dramatic sand dunes, and sweeping golden sands. Rather than just a single strip of sand, Rhosneigr is defined by two main beaches that frame the village, each catering to different types of beachgoers:
1. Traeth Crigyll (Town Beach): Located to the north-west of the village, this is the larger and more popular beach. It picks up more ocean swell, making it a major hub for surfing, windsurfing, and kite surfing. It features beautiful sand dunes and excellent rock pools when the tide goes out.
2. Traeth Llydan (Broad Beach): Located to the south-east, this beach stretches for over a mile. Backed by low dunes and rural fields, it has a more tranquil, unspoilt atmosphere. Its slightly calmer waters make it the ideal choice for swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, and snorkelling.
Cemaes Bay
Cemaes Bay features two distinct, beautiful beaches separated by a scenic river and a traditional natural harbour on the northern coast of Anglesey, Wales. As the most northerly village in Wales, the bay sits within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, providing safe, sheltered waters that are heavily protected from major winds.
The Cemaes Time and Tide Bell (also known as St Patrick's Bell) is a unique public art installation located on Traeth Mawr beach in Cemaes Bay. As the high tide rises around the structure, the kinetic energy of the waves moves a clapper inside, creating a musical chime.
Benllech
Benllech Beach (Traeth Benllech) is one of the most popular and beautiful sandy beaches on the Isle of Anglesey. Known for its expansive golden sands and exceptionally clear, shallow waters, it is a highly rated destination for families, swimmers, and beachgoers. The waters are quite shallow and calm compared to other coastal areas, providing a safer environment for children to paddle and swim.
There is a large pay-and-display car park close to the front. Public toilets include an outdoor foot-wash and shower station to clean off sand before heading home.
Newborough (Llanddwyn)
Newborough Beach (also known as Traeth Llanddwyn) is widely considered one of the most stunning coastal locations in the UK. Situated on the south-western tip of the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales, it is a 3.5-mile stretch of golden sand backed by the massive sand dunes of Newborough Warren and the fragrant pine trees of Newborough Forest. The beach is famous for its panoramic views of the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia) and its connection to the mystical tidal island of Ynys Llanddwyn.
The main beach car park uses an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) camera barrier system managed by Natural Resources Wales. The parking fee (2026) is approximately £5 for the first two hours, plus 70p per hour after, capped at a £15 daily maximum. Payments are cashless and can be made at the pay station or via the RingGo app.
